Special Needs

Students with long-term special needs (e.g., mobility limitations, visual impairment) are encouraged to share this information with the Office of Disability and Accessibility Services so that accommodations can be considered. This individual will work with the Labor Program Office to locate suitable first-year and subsequent labor assignments as needed.

Short-term special needs (e.g., broken leg) or minor health issues (e.g., allergies) can often be accommodated within the existing labor assignment by placing the student on light duty or adapting work requirements. In cases where this is not possible, students should consult the Labor Program Office directly for assistance in locating an alternate placement.
